Sik Sidetable, University project, 2022, Hong Kong.
"Sik" (骰仔) is dice in cantonese. Inspired by the tall and omnipresent skyscrapers in Hong Kong this sidetable is a space saving furniture for small homes. Due to its modularity it is possible to stack and arrange the Sik pieces in any order.
The furniture is manufactured by one single plywood sheet and can be packaged flat. The aluminum joints are simply cut from square tubes.
